I had my RC Powers Su-27 V5 at the field yesterday doing some field testing with the Turnigy D2826/6 motor and RC Timer 6x3x3 carbon prop.
For a plane of this weight, the RC Timer 6x3x3 paired with the Turnigy 2200 motor is not a terribly peppy setup, I had to fly with about 70% throttle most of the time and full throttle was not terribly fast compared to say the 6x4 APC two bladed prop. It was however, very efficient. Even with these higher throttle settings I had to use, I still had about 10% more "gas" left in the battery than I would have with a comparable flight with a 6x4 APC prop.
So I think this 6x3x3 prop paired with the Turnigy 2200 motor would be a great combo for a much lighter plane, say 18 oz (510 gr) or less. It would be easy to keep a plane light as you could use a 30A ESC and much lighter battery than I did and still have good flight times depending on your throttle management. Drawing only 21.5A at full throttle on the bench, it is the most energy efficient prop I have ever run on this popular size motor.
