I added a couple of new products to our recommended parts list based on some recent testing I have been doing. I added a new motor to the "mild" category, the Gear Best XXD 2212/6 2200 kv and created a new three bladed prop category after testing the Master Airscrew 6x4x3 prop. Pictures shown below, the picture of the props show how the MA 6x4x3 looks compared to the other props on our list, the 6x3 EMP and 6x4 APC.
The MA 6x4x3 prop was a real revelation and "paradigm shift" for me. I remember quite awhile back Dave Powers using a 3 bladed prop on an RC Powers Su-30 V4. It was a GWS and he had to tape the hub to help keep the blade stiff. Since it was to help the plane hover, I didn't really pay it much attention. However, the Master Airscrew props are expensive, but very high quality and a big improvement in performance and run much quieter on the 2200 Kv motors. You can read about the testing I did in the props thread.
I am looking at some carbon fibre 6x3x3 props from RC Timer that I might give a try to see how well they work with the higher Kv motors. They are designed to spin at high RPM on quadcopters, so I want to see how they might make out in a park jet set up.
