As you may have read in previous posts on this thread, I have been flying for awhile trying out an inexpensive 40A ESC from RC Timer.
However, if you have one laying around or want to try it out with any of the motors on our "mild" list, it is certainly an inexpensive alternative, however be away that as you push it closer to 40A, it will heat up quite a bit more than the Turnigy Plush.
I have now run this ESC with an RC Timer 2212/6 2200 Kv motor, two different Turnigy D2826/6 2200 Kv motors (all with 6x4 APC props) for a total of 100 flights and have had absolutely no problems with it's performance, even though it does run warmer than the Turnigy Plush 40A ESC. Power delivery to the motor is smooth and complete, I've never had any issues with the BEC not delivering power to the servos (I run 6 servos on the plane I use with this ESC). Overall, I have been very pleased with it's performance other than the heat dissipation issue which is actually not too much of a problem with the "mild" setups I mention at the start of this paragraph.
Just wanted to pass along my feedback on the performance of this inexpensive ESC now that I have accumulated several flights with it. It works really well and I will continue to use it and test it with the "milder" setups I have in one of my NAMC Mig-35s.
